I finally started a peacock feather painting that I promised a friend for her birthday back at the beginning of August… First I was planning to do an entire peacock so I sketched that out:
But I didn’t love it… Looked too much like a chicken, so I went hunting on Google for inspiration & I found it.
This is my initial drawing, done in colored pencil. Next step, the background:
I thought orangey yellow would complement the greens & blues of the feather. Next, I dove right in and here it is:
Not done yet, but well on it’s way!!! It will be gorgeous!
